Marjua, bienvenidos.ĬONTRERAS: And Verónica Bayetti Flores, she's a true cultural warrior. She's associate editor at Billboard magazine. Suzy, welcome.ĬONTRERAS: And then Marjua Estevez. She's assistant music editor for Rolling Stone. So welcome to, first of all, Suzy Exposito. And this is how we came up with, like, 20 or more songs.ĬONTRERAS: And we asked them to join us here in the studio today to go over some of those songs. And we asked some of the top Latinx culture and music writers to contribute their favorite songs. And I also brought along some other homies to help me choose some of these songs. First of all, I want to welcome back Jessica Diaz-Hurtado, who was an NPR fellow and ALT.LATINO guest host earlier this year. And I did say we because I had some help. We've compiled a list of this year's top songs. Now, this week - songs, those one-at-a-time, little blasts of groovelisciousness (ph). Now, last week, we looked at our favorite albums of the year.
